Dear friends and colleagues!
On behalf of the South Ural regional Association and the Conference team I am happy to send these greetings to you. Welcome to the XVI NATE-Russia Annual Conference “Enhancing Teacher Effectiveness”! I strongly believe that Higher education is no longer a once in a lifetime experience. The present day national higher education sets the most ambitious goals: to enhance innovative education and provide for its competitiveness at the world education and labor markets. Global integration into world economics requires a new type of professional. There is a growing need to master foreign languages in order to become a competitive specialist in the world market. This challenging task brings not only new opportunities for language teachers’ self-improvement but also raises important methodology questions.
I do hope that this conference will give each of you new ideas and insights, new moments of professional growth and unforgettable professional communication. We have to teach locally, but think globally.
