Robyn Shifrin

Robyn Shifrin, Senior English Language Fellow in Vladivostok, Russia, has a strong background in constructivist methodology and computer assisted language learning (CALL), and is currently researching the area of computer-mediated constructivist learning environments. Robyn has recently completed a feature length documentary on the American Dream for which she is developing companion teaching modules for publication. Robyn earned her TEFLA at the University of Cambridge, UK and her MA in Literary Theory from Case Western Reserve University. She has developed curriculum and taught ESL/EFL for over ten years, in the United States and abroad, including Israel and the Czech Republic. Robyn was Lead Curriculum Developer and Senior Instructor with ELS Language Centers at Case Western Reserve University where she developed over fifteen new courses, and designed and implemented two intensive CALL programs. She has presented as Plenary and Invited speaker at multiple regional, national and international conferences, including a demonstration on using podcasts as speaking evaluations at the 2009 TESOL conference.
